This page is for a more detailed history of the car, beginning with Sam Hamilton’s log book from 1980-1985. Sam bought the car from Jason Len in California in 1979. Sam, along with Phil and Kent Carpenter, raced it from 1980 to 1985. We think 1983 might have been a rough year for “Carpenter Brothers Hardware” in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which Phil and Sam owned (later Sam bought Phil out), as the the car doesn’t appear to have been raced at all in 1983.
