Sept 22 Update: The schedule has changed a bit. New version below.
The season that started out, literally, with a bang, was very front-loaded with three weekends of racing in five weeks, including long tows to and from the bucket-list and famed Laguna Seca track, has come down to its final weekend.
As of today, September 19, those final two days are looking near-perfect from a weather standpoint: Dry and sunny, with highs in the low 70s. At the risk of jinxing it, I haven’t put the rains on the car at all this year. I actually enjoy racing in the rain; it evens out the field and demands precise driving. But hanging out with my friends in the paddock is less fun when it’s soggy.
Fall Finale is the only event where SOVREN does ride-alongs (also called mechanical picnics and a couple other things I can’t remember). The passenger seat and belts are in the car and I’m looking forward to taking friends, family, and crew out for some hot laps at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday.

Live-streaming was on hiatus this year until the CRC. I’m planning to do it for Fall Finale, too. Looking forward to 2026, I think the live-streams will move from Twitch to YouTube. Stay tuned for more on that.
If you are planning to come down to the races or watch the live-streams, here is the current schedule. It’s still early though, so check back for any changes.

I’m excited to race with my buddies again, including Evan Eldridge, who is rounding out his first season of racing, Kurt Weiss, for whom it will be race weekend #2, and my trusty crew-member, Sam Bujnarowski, who will be racing for the very first time in an MGB made available to him by another buddy, Jonathan McTaggart. All-in-all, we have a good showing of nine Spridgets.
