I’ll not bury the lede: No, my #12 Bugeye will not be ready for this event at Qlispe’ Raceway Park June 6-8. A very generous and kind driver offered me a ‘seat’ in his second race car for this event. It’s an honor and big responsibility that I considered for several days before accepting…at his insistence.
SOVREN hasn’t raced at Spokane since 2022 that was before I started, so this will be a new track for me. We’re all excited that the track has received a number of significant safety upgrades, and I’m stoked to drive a new-to-me track.
A fun part of this weekend is the Friday evening race car parade from the track to a downtown car show. From Friday afternoon through Sunday, it’s going to be great fun. Look for me to be a solid back-marker driving conservatively in someone else’s car.
As the hardware for live-streaming is mounted in #12, I’ll just be recording. The up side of that is that the edited videos will be 4k. I’ll also debut the rear-facing camera. Maybe I will be able to live-stream the parade from my phone? Stay tuned on that…
